Bike Breaks Girona

Pro cycling Outlet grew out of the Bike Breaks Girona Cycle Centre started in 2009 by Dave and Saskia. The Girona Cycle Centre offers destination services, rental and guiding in the city of Girona in northern Spain.

Over the past eleven years, since our establishment, we have seen the cycling community within Girona develop into something truly remarkable, and we have been there each step of the way to aid its progress and watch it unfold first-hand.

How Pro Cycling Outlet was born

Over the years, our connections with over 250 professional riders and several Teams has developed into something we would have never dreamed of…an entire collection of professional cycling kit and equipment that dates way back to 2009 when our little pro kit project began.

It started with a casual conversation when pro cyclist Koen de Kort was transferring to a new team, left with stacks of boxes of brand new, top of the line cycling kit from his previous team. Living in a small apartment in a foreign country, he needed to part ways with it and fast! It was then that Dave suggested, ‘why not sell it at Bike Breaks?’. At the time, owning pro kit was like cycling royalty and very on trend. Surely, there would be a demand for it in Girona, by now increasingly becoming a popular hotspot for pro cyclists and enthusiasts from around the world.

And so the ‘ex’ pro kit journey began, with a simple clothing rack of Astana jerseys in our shop. Unsurprisingly, they were gone within a week. The professional cycling community at the time was significantly smaller, so word got round pretty quickly that Bike Breaks was the place to go to sell kit on riders’ behalf. We’d then take a small commission, and our pro kit side of the business began to take off.

Where are we now

We are now a well established online cycling outlet offering an unparallel collection of new and used cycling equipment for our clients not just in Girona but all over the world.

Giving cycling fans the special opportunity to have access to a normally hidden world that we, in Girona, are lucky enough to be part of.
